Who We're Looking For
Gateway is seeking analytically-minded students with strong mathematical foundations to join our Financial AI team for the Summer 2025 internship program. If you have a passion for applying AI and machine learning to financial markets, building algorithmic trading systems, and developing AI-driven investment strategies, this role offers hands-on experience at the intersection of finance, AI, and quantitative analysis.
What You'll Do
As a Financial AI Intern, you will work on cutting-edge projects that combine AI innovation with financial strategy:
Algorithmic Trading & Risk AI
- • Develop AI models for algorithmic trading and automated investment strategies
- • Build risk management systems using machine learning and financial modeling
- • Apply reinforcement learning to portfolio optimization and market timing
Credit Analysis & Market Prediction
- • Implement deep learning models for credit analysis and default prediction
- • Use time series analysis and neural networks for financial market forecasting
- • Support research into alternative financial data sources and predictive signals
What's Required
We're looking for candidates who:
Education & Background
- • Are studying Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative field
- • Have strong foundation in statistics, probability, and mathematical modeling
- • Demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills
- • Have experience with Python, R, and financial data analysis
- • Are familiar with machine learning, time series analysis, and deep learning
- • Have knowledge of financial markets and investment principles
